CCA COVID-19 Update 5-20-20
Dear CCA Community,
Unbelievably, we are nearing the end of the school year with just 10 school days remaining! We cannot thank you enough for partnering with us to weather this COVID-19 storm. We know it did not happen without some bumps and bruises for everyone along the way, but the end is in sight! Praise the Lord for He has been so gracious to our school family. We are so thankful to God that He has protected our staff, students, and families during this pandemic.
No matter what the future holds, we can trust God’s plan for Calvary Christian Academy as He has seen fit to protect, provide, and make a way for CCA to finish its 34th year. As we embark on our 35th year, we can continue to trust God to make a way for us to strengthen our foundation and expand our borders.
We know there is a lot of speculation on what will happen in the months to come, and we cannot answer all of those unknowns. However, we can reassure you that we stand resolute in our determination to continue the mission of CCA and to become stronger and more impactful for the Kingdom of God!
We are currently preparing for a variety of possible scenarios for the upcoming school year and we plan to open as expected on August 31st, 2020. We will be as flexible and accommodating as possible in the areas of tuition, safety protocols, and striving to meet the needs of our students and families in a safe and secure environment.
We expect to be able to open our Summer Break Camp within the month of June, Lord willing. We are waiting for Phase 2 guidance from Governor Carney’s office, which will provide clarity on how we can operate our summer program and schedule graduation ceremonies. We are preparing staffing, schedules, supplies, and new operational safety protocols for this summer. We recommend applying for summer camp if you have not already because we will accommodate our CCA families before other families in the community.
As it relates to picking up yearbooks, student belongings, kindergarten cap & gowns, awards, and report cards, we will provide a schedule. We will have to deliver these items to you in the parking lot.
-
Preschool classes will determine the best time for each class to come to the school to pick up belongings during the week of June 1st. Preschool classes will be contacted by their teacher directly to arrange delivery / pick up of the End of Year items.
-
Because we need time for report cards to be completed, K-12 will provide times during the week of June 8th.
The last day of school for the senior class of 2020 is today! We are very proud of our senior class and their accomplishments. We had a wonderful time visiting them last Friday as we went to each of their homes to give them yard signs, yearbooks, and to honor the following girls:

God Bless,
Aaron M Coon
