Parent Letter 3-17-2020
Dear CCA Families,
The CCA administration team met today to work on our plan of action for this closure due to COVID – 19. From the time we started until we adjourned, our plans changed as developments in the nation started to unfold. As a result, we are going to use the words “as of right now” in a lot of our communication just because developments are coming in daily, but we believe we have worked out many of the details related to providing instruction to your kids, our students. This will be our first deployment of distance learning, which means we will be constantly evaluating and making adjustments as needed. Below were the questions I received so far:
FAQ’s
Q. Will students have to make this time up during the summer?
A. No, we are implementing distance learning to keep students engaged and learning throughout this disruption.
Q. Can we come to the school to pick up books and medicines if we were not at school last Friday?
A. Yes. We will have all campuses open from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 17th
Q. How do I get my child’s password for their CCA email for distance learning?
A. Email passwords are currently being reset today and tomorrow for those who have not logged in yet or within the last two months. Every email password will be following the same pattern as below:
cc@ac2020 – the ac in this password refers to my initials, which will be different for each child and we will force a password reset once they use their temporary password.
Q. Is there a new link for re-enrolling for next school year?
A. Yes, please use this new link: https://payit.nelnet.net/form/V5LVyco4 and the pricing WILL NOT increase from before.
Q. What will happen with the lunches we purchased in March?
A. We will credit them and make them available to use in the future.
If you have not already heard from your teacher, you will receive communication from them by tomorrow night. Please follow the instructions of the teacher and remain in communication with your teacher if any needs or challenges arise.
You can expect teachers to be responsive to emails during the modified school operational hours of 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Our primary source of communication will be email for initial communication, which may lead to a phone call if needed.
